The Incredible Realization:
-- Disastrous & Lanquishing
Tragic hesitation, violence tears asunder
Awkward moment, blunder, blunder!
Disaster strikes, lament
Languishing life about spent
Disastrous tragedy lamenting
Awkward hesitation languishing
Description:
Six stave-wielding marauders beat the crap out of a seventh. He is dead. His red blood covers the ground, and yet they continue to beat him to a pulp. This is the card of violence and torture. The tragedy is, that the seventh person was innocent, but killed anyway. This is the card of tragedy. Oh my god, this is a disaster.
The two handed marauder to the right is not just beating, he is stabbing and jabbing with vicious intent. The sight of blood moves him. Violence is what he lives for. Blood, guts and gore is what he wants to see, not unlike his equidistant friend, in the 3 of Subtraction/Clubs/Staves. This is the card of bloody carnage.
The toe dipping into the water reminds us that this card is also about hesitation, and a ponderous awkward transition through another portal not unlike the one from the antonymous 7 of Addition/Diamonds/Coins. Except this is not a portal of success, it is a portal of disaster, and you will surely fall flat on your face when you cross the threshold. Or you will not pass at all and miss an opportunity.
Prediction:
You will meet with a violent end. You will be emotionally scarred for life. You will stumble and fall. You will hesitate, stall and crash. You are inviting disaster. You are on the brink.
Advice:
Violent fires soon burn out. Don't lash out with violence. Don't call disaster down upon yourself. He who hesitates is lost. Don't over plan.
Maxim:
We are the authors of our own disasters.
Violence is the tool of the ignorant.
