[D2] OBFUSCATION: The Frustrated Waif:
Card of Stealth and Mystery

Blinding fog, veils, disguise
Keeping mysteries from all eyes
In her lap she holds the key
Prefers to taunt than let us see

An inscrutable recondite is bewildering
A frustrated myopic is groping

Description:
A blinded, frustrated, lost soul on a crooked path gropes for a lead of some kind. Unseen behind her, hovers a pall of gloom in her own form. In the skies over head, dark clouds repeat the idea of a pall of gloom, while just beyond the horizon lie clear blue skies, symbolizing the extent of her depression. These clouds of depression follow her everywhere so she will never see those clear blue skies. She will never see at all. She is blind. Even if she had eyes, she still wouldn’t see.

Her groping hand symbolizes her lost state. She doesn’t know which way to go. She is frustrated. The winding or crooked path opposes the straight and direct path of the antonymous Animated Visionary card. This person is not animated at all. She is stuck. The fly in the spider’s web symbolizes her retarded state.

Her blindfold symbolizes a state of blindness that may in fact be voluntary. She is shortsighted. She has no “vision.” She cries tears of blood symbolizing the pain of her depression.
